Luckie  Street Firefighters Reunion & Book Debut

May 26, 2012

Saturday, Memorial Day Weekend
1:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Engine 11 Firehouse Tavern

Firefighters, their families, and guests
gathered at the Engine 11 restaurant. Many
joined us as we stepped into the past.

The Event
We met on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend; the day when the call came in for the infamous fire at 104 Luckie Street. Engine 11's restaurant is housed in the original fire station where a blaring alarm sent several firemen to the Davis Brothers Restaurant. An "unluckie" few would never return.

Tragedy on Luckie Street, a 50 page book honoring those who gave their all, also made its debut.
